Curriculum Vitae
Pavlos Moscholios was born in 1951. He is the son of Petros Moscholios and Spyridoula Makri-Livani. He finished school in Agrinio and is a graduate of the "National Metsovio Polytechnic School of Athens".
He was active in the student movement and participated in the first student elections after the collapse of the dictatorship. He became a member of the political party PASOK since its foundation (1974). He completed his military service in 1977 and then moved to Athens to work.
From 1981 until today he is a resident of Agrinio where he works as a civil engineer. For many years, he has been a member of the administrative council of the Engineers Association in the Technical Education Institution of the Prefecture of Aitoloakarnania. In 1984, he is an elected member of the Central Delegation of the Technical Education Institution and in 1987 he is an elected member of the Delegation of the Regional Department of West Greece. He pioneered in the creation of an independent Regional Department in the Prefecture in 1997. He is then elected President of the newly founded Regional Department of the Technical Education Institution in Aitoloakarnania, and he is re-elected in 2000.
During the time he was a President, the Department developed important and innovative activities for the development of the engineering sector. One of the most important developments took place through the "Proposal for the Development Priorities of Aitoloakarnania 2000- 2006", which was the first completed proposal for the development of the Prefecture.
In the sector of Local Administration he is elected Municipal Counselor in the Municipality of Agrinio in 1990. In 1994, he is elected Prefectural Counselor and he is re-elected in 1998. In the 2002 elections, he is elected Municipal Counselor of Agrinio and deputy Mayor. In the 2006 elections he is elected Mayor of Agrinio. He is married to Eleni Gioti and has two sons.
