The renovated mansion of the Xynopoulos family is now the property of the Greek Public Power Corporation (DEI). It is one of the few neo-classical buildings of the city of Agrinio that was renovated and restored with respect to its original architecture and character. Since 1902, the building is an imposing presence in the plateau "Panagopoulou" and a jewel for the city of Agrinio.

The Municipal Market is a building closely connected to the modern history of Agrinio. It was built in 1930, when Andreas Panagopoulos was the Mayor of the city. Its construction was supervised by Vasileios Kouremenos, a distinguished architect and mechanic of the period.

On the 3^rd of July 2008 the auction for the program titled "Renovation of the Municipal Market of Agrinio and Transformation to a Cultural Center" was held, and nowadays its renovation is in the process.  This is an important step towards the promotion of culture and the preservation of the city's cultural identity.
