The swimming Grand Prix is organized annually a few days before Christmas by the Swimming Federation of Agrinio and is one of the most important athletic competitions. The first time the competition took place was in December 2007 in the Municipal Athletic Center "Michalis Kousis". Every year, a number of distinguished athletes participate in the Grand Prix, such as Romanos Alyfantis who broke the Greek record in 2007.
